Safety Courses

Offshore Emergency Response Team Members, Helideck Team Members,Team Leaders

I can provide high quality Safety Training including Refresher Training to delegates in any global on-offshore location.

On Rig TrainingI have gained my experience working for major European and Middle East Safety Training Providers, delivering OPITO and MCA recognised training. Most refresher training is carried out after two years from completion date of initial training. When offshore I identify how poor standards are and where people are not training properly during safety drills, for example not wearing Breathing Apparatus correctly, not using stretchers for rescue, poor casualty handling. Not knowing location of equipment and the correct type of PPE

I have found that Emergency Response Personnel Offshore can have lack of confidence because lots of training on different type of equipment needs to be done over short period of time.

My training focusses on improving peoples skills across all disciplines by giving the best information and practical exercises, making delegates feel confident in what is expected of them should an emergency situation arise.

Services provided include:

  • Professional Advice on best type of emergency response, fire equipment required for specific areas and compliance with current legislation.
  • Audit Emergency Scenarios carried out on weekly basis making sure Emergency Response Teams have ability, and know how to deal with the worst kind of emergency situation on board.
  • Identification of weaknesses within the team and provide necessary training
  • I can improve communication which is paramount during emergency
  • Advise how to search areas where visibility is totally obscured during emergency and standard firefighting Search and Rescue techniques can't be used, because type, complexity of area
  • Audit Risk Assessments making sure all hazards have been identified and adequate level of control implemented.
